  • 7 alphanumeric characters [A-Z, 0-9]
  • 1st character is the Section
    • Reference Section codes categories in the table above
  • Subsequent characters relate to the Section and give:
    • Body System
    • Body Part
    • Approach
    • Device used for a procedure
